Travel and Further Information....
Market Day - Kalkan has a large travelling market on Thursdays. The market sells fresh produce as well as clothes, curtains, tablecloths, watches and Turkish spices.
Shops - There are several supermarkets in the village and an excellent small shop in the Kalamar Road, "Can Can Market" who also deliver. Their telephone number is programmed into our Turkish mobile phone (pay as you go) which is available for guests with a small deposit (payable to Mehmet).
Beaches - Kalkan has a small pebbly beach just east of the harbour but two beautiful beaches just a bus (dolmus) ride away are Kaputas and Patara.
Internet - we have free Wireless Internet Access (so you can bring your laptop).
Telephone - we have a Turkish mobile Pay as you Go telephone for our guests use available from Mehmet with a deposit. The phone is programmed with useful numbers particularly those who provide Villa Service (i.e. free transfer from beach/restaurant - reliable taxi - local shops who deliver etc.
Getting There....
Nearest Airport : Dalaman flight time from London Gatwick 3½ hours.
Flight Transfers - we can arrange taxi transfers for you (approximate cost £50.00-£55.00) Distance from airport - 1½ hours. The taxi will stop off at Fethiye or Gocek for lunch/evening meal if you wish.

Turkish Airport Tax - please note that the Turkish Government charge a £10 visa fee which is payable on arrival at Dalaman.
